This is the second audio launch for Jeeva in this week. It was just a couple of days ago Jeeva’s forthcoming film Rowthiram has seen an audio launch and today the actor‘s yet another project Vandhan Vendraan audio has been launched.

The audio launch of Jeeva's Vandhan Vendraan (VV) took place at Sathyam Cinemas yesterday morning. The audio waslaunched by SA Chandrasekhar, Bala and Jayam Ravi in the presence of a host of Kollywood celebrities. Thaman has composed the music for the lyrics penned by Na. Muthukumar, Yugabharathi, Thamarai and Madan Karky. Vandhan Vendraan album has six tracks and the film's music rights have been bagged by Sony Music. Now Let's take a quick musical ride and enjoy the music of Vandhan Vendraan ………

Anjana Anjana –3/5

Singers: Alap Raju

Lyrics: Yugabharathi

The album starts with a romantic number Anjana Anjana which is calm and cool. The song impresses with the first listen itself and With Aalaap Raju's mellifluous voice and the chorus, the songs hangs back on your mind. Please don’t get confused with the duet song Anjana Anjana from Suriya’s Aadhavan. Thaman’s stunning, progressive rise and brilliant use of the harmony along with violin interludes is evocative of Rahman’s early work! The song must have been shot in the backdrops of Switzerland, let us wait for the visuals….Do give a rewind press…..

Kanchana Maala-2.75/5

Singers: Karthik & Priya

Lyrics: Thamarai

This song falls in the second place of the album. Karthik’s vocals are apt for the song while Priya’s vocal is added essence. Thaman has done a exceptional work on rhythms working on a mix with Guitars and Chenda Mela. As the song progresses you feel the Kerala Malayali flavor but still impressive. You’ll fall in love with this song for the first time you hear and it keeps you on a rewind button. Kannan might have shot this song on the backdrops of Kerala. Don’t give a miss!!!

Singers: Devan Ekambaram

Lyrics: Madhan Karky

Anjo is a peppy number sung by Devan after a long time. His fast paced voice for this jolly number is good to listen. Thaman has used a lot of drum beats and while hearing this song one can easily guess that it has been shot in a foreign locale. The song will go well with visuals and appeals youth audiences. Could stay on the charts easily for some time for its plaintiveness.

Thirandhen Thirandhen- 2.75/5

Singers: Aalap Raju, Shreya Ghoshal

Lyrics: Madhan Karky

It looks like this time Thaman has choosed a melodious route to appeal the music lovers. Each and every song in the album is special and gives a refreshing feel. This is one more romantic number between Jeeva and Taapsee. The director might have shot in exotic foreign locations like Switzerland. Shreya Ghoshal’s vocal is as usual appealing but Thaman has tried to bring a different tone altogether from her while Aalap’s vocal is good and impressive. But the fats beats used by Thaman reminds us some early compositions yet it is a beautiful listen. Recommended to listen!!!

Nagarudhe Nagarudhe- 2.5/5

Singers: S Thaman

Lyrics: Na Muthukumar

This is a slow and sober number which reveals the feeling of love. Jeeva might be singing this song to get back his love interest Taapsee, anyway lets us wait for the visuals. Thaman has rendered his vocals and we feel some similarities between vocals of Thaman and Yuvan. The song reminds us Thaman’s earlier best compositions Paniye from Ayyanar. Will appeal the people who are in love………..

Mudivilla Mazhaiyodu-2.25/5

Singers: Hariharan

Lyrics: Madhan Karky

Thaman has given a strong closing to the album with this song which has high rhythmic tunes and beautifully orchestrated sounds. This song cannot be compared to rest of the songs as it is completely different outing. Hariharan’s is quite apt for this fast paced number and recalls you of Thiruda Thiruda's 'Veera Pandi kottayile' song. The chorus singers should be appreciated for their outstanding effort. However you can a give listen…

Final Verdict:

Overall, the entire album is filled with melody, romantic and soft numbers as Thaman has decided to play safe by choosing melodious way. The album lacks fast beat, kuthu and folk numbers but still the music keeps you refreshing and engaged. If Thaman would have added a fast beat and kuthu number, it would have balanced the listener’s mind.

The heartbeat picks up at all times so the songs may go well with the youngsters but not so much for the family or the matured music lovers. Thaman does have it in him to give us many more ‘wah wah’ numbers.
