Vijay’s Nanban has seen a grand launch of audio on 23^rd of December in the Harris Jayraj concert ‘On The Edge’. Nanban produced by Gemini Film Circuit casts Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth and Ileana in the lead roles. Since this is the remake of Bollywood highest grosser 3Idiots, the story might have already known to wider sections of audiences. So Shankar’s stylish treatment,the lead actors performances and Harris music has to be the highlights to make a difference to the original version.

Heartilay Battery song is intermixing of English and Tamil lyrics. This is the Tamil version of the super hit ‘All izz well’ song and the lyricist retained the original lyrics. The drum beats and ‘all is well’ phrase elevates the situations in the movie. Lyrics by Na.Muthukumar are best fit to the situation and tune. Though the lyricist retained phrases, Harris maintained his style in scoring the song.

3. Asku Laska

Asku Laska song penned by Madhan Karky seems to be an exploration, by taking words from 16 different languages. Karky handled it beautifully making it a melodious track while Vijay Prakash and Chinmayi has done a splendid job and the wrap line Suvi are an asset. Harris has once again proved that he is strong at romantic melodies.

4. Endhan Kan Munney

Endhan Kan Munney is a slow-paced breezy number that goes for 2minutes. Aalap Raju who has already proved his mettle once again strikes the right chords with his mesmerizing vocals. Karky’s lyrics are good and the song might appeal you on the repeated hearing.

Irukkaannaa song sounds like a folk number similar to other genres of Shankar. The song sung by Vijay Prakash, Javed Ali, Sunidhi Chauhan is peppy and fast pace foot tapping number. The song might be picturised in Shankar’s style on Vijay and Ileana on a big set and a group of dancers behind. The Ilayathalapathy’s fans can expect a good number of stylized steps from their matinee idol.

6. Nalla Nanban

Nalla Nanban is the situational song comes when Jeeva and Srikanth go in search of Vijay. Harris Jayraj made this melody using classical instruments and touching lyrics by Na.Muthukumar. Ramakrishna Murthy adds slight emotion to the situation with his vocal rendition.

This song is expected to replace ‘Behti hawa sat ha wo’, from 3 Idiots.

Nanban has six songs, which show the collective efforts of Harris Jayraj, Shankar and lyricists Na.Muthukumar and Karky. Harris Jayraj has shown his ease in using instruments and he has chosen apt singers to make it an ear pleasing album. Harris Jayraj has given his best suit to the situations using classical and western orchestra, which entertains class as well as mass listeners. Nanban is a complete album that entertains larger sections of audiences.
