Song 01: Kannamma
Singers : Rita, Anthonydasan
Santosh Narayanan and his team might have planned to mix the two different styles to be unique and different, which you can hear in the form of Kannamma. The first track starts of the breezy tunes by Santosh that deviates with the off-the-wall rendition by Antony Dasan and Rita. Kannamma is sure to attract college goers for its catchy lyrics by Muthamil and chorus.
Song 02: Ding Dong
Singers : Arunraja, Moses
Lyricist: Arunraja, Moses
Ding Dong sets the mood of a dark night with the very starting storm sound effects followed by the lines uttered by Naveen. Its a selfie by Arun Raja and Moses, their vocals complemented eachother with unanimous styles of singing. Ding Dong appears to be the right rap composition for an action thriller film and both the Tamil and English lines are a treat. It is Arun Raja all over the song, he gets special laurels for lyrics and vocals.
Song 03: Pandi Naatu Kodi
Singers : Anthony Dasan
Lyricist: Anthony Dasan
Pandi Naatu Kodi is out and out Anthony Dasan's song. He has done justice to both lyricist and singer in him. This time Santosh Narayanan mixed the rural voice of Anthony with a typical Punjabi marriage tunes that ended in a kuthu style.
Song 04: Dhesayum Ezhindaney
Singers: Santhosh Narayanan, Meenakshi Iyer
Lyricist: Pradeep Kumar
After the first three disconsolate compositions, Santosh Narayan has come up with a breezy number. Initial chorus with piano score is ear-pleasing. Meenakshi Iyer has a unique voice that adds bliss to Dhesayum Ezhindaney, definitely a good listening experience.
Song 05: Baby
Singers: Santhosh Narayanan
Santosh Narayanan has tried a voice variation, after breezy chorus in Dhesayum Ezhindaney. His voice culture aptly suits the track and the retro western type of formations in the second half are fascinating. Musician has to be appreciated for his blowy instrumentals including Piano, Violin, drums.
Song 06: Jigar
Singers: Pradeep Kumar
Jigar is one of the heavy tracks in the album that purely concentrates on the orchestration with few electric effect in the second half. Starting from the very first Piano note followed by bubbly chorus of Pradeep Kumar, Jigar carries a good feel throughout, which works wonders in its way. This song is expected to bring up the thrilling scenes on-screen.
Song 07: Hoohaa
Singers: Sean Roldan, Santhosh Narayanan
Hoo Haa is another Jingle-Jangle musical that drags listeners attention to the peak and keep them hooked. Everything that is included in it worked in the favor of the song taking us to a beautiful world of music within 1.42 mins. Santosh narayanan takes the credits for dishing up the track so well including various instruments like Guitar, whistle, drums and chorus.
Thanda and Ottam are the two instrumentals in Jigarthanda album. While the Thanda is well framed with the help of percussions and guitar, Ottam is a accomplishment of harmonies, saxophone, Jazzy mix formation that is simply in drummer Sivamani style.
Final Verdict : Jigarthanda album is more of interesting orchestration by Santosh Narayanan than chart-buster songs...
