Ilayathalapathy Vijay, the name itself gives a lot of energy to his fans. He created waves in Kollywood with blockbuster hits. Vijay coming from a film family has made an easy entry into the industry.
He debuted in 1992 with the film Naalaiya Theerpu and from that point of time there is no look back for him. His career graph has reached enormous heights in the last 18 years. He always prefers to do remake films which are hits in that particular language. Even though he is coming up with the remakes, Vijay ensures that the film looks different.
His uniqueness in his acting skills has grabbed a lot of fanfare for him in the industry. Even though he bagged many hits, Vijay tasted many flops in his career. It takes much time if we jump into the roots of the topic, so let’s talk about his career graph in 2010. This year Vijay has come with only one film Sura. The film is an action- comedy entertainer which was released with lots of expectations, but unfortunately Vijay’s mantra didn’t workout well at the box office and it is a big disaster in his career. Apart from that Vijay completed his next film Kaavalan, but the release of the film has been a big headache for the filmmakers.
Vijay was mostly seen in the headlines recently regarding his professional and political career. Kaavalan was initially slated for its release in December, but as his fortune is not going good this year the film landed in troubles. The first speed breaker for the film is the court stayed the release of the film as per the case filed by J K Saravanan, proprietor of Tantra films regarding the overseas rights. But in a couple of days the case has been solved and the film is set free for its release.
When the filmmakers are in search of the theaters, Kaavalan again stepped into the next trouble. Now it’s the turn of the theater owners who are against Vijay’s films. Vijay’s Sura was a big disaster due to which the theater owners faced huge losses. This made them to stop giving the screens for Vijay. The expected loss for them is nearly 9 crores and they are demanding an amount of thirty percent from the actual loss, which will turn up to Rs 3 crores.
One more major draw back is he mostly sticks to remakes. Though remakes carry a good impression, but all the time it doesn’t workout. Whenever a film is seeing a hit in other south Indian languages, Vijay tries to bag the rights and kicks off with film. He needs to analyze according to the latest scenario whether the film will hit the minds of his fans or not. In 2011 too he is coming up with the remakes one from Malayam and the other from Telugu. His next release Kaavalan is the remake of Malayalam film ‘Body Guard’ and Velayudham is the remake of Telugu film ‘Azad’.
The latest headline of Vijay is all about his political entry. It is not new to the stars in Kollywood to enter into politics, but what is making Vijay to enter into politics? We have the answer, guessing that you too are aware. His father S. A. Chandrasekhar met AIADMK president Jayalalitha regarding his political entry and had a door closed discussion for 40- minutes. As Vijay is currently on a trip to California it is heard that he will meet Amma soon.
On a whole, Vijay who has seen extreme heights all through his career is now facing problems to get atleast theaters for his films, apart from expecting a hit. Vijay's career graph has been declined due to the drop in the number of films per year as well as the released films resulting as disaster. Vijay needs to take a special care, while choosing the apt scripts. The actor is facing troubles as the producers and the theater owners are against him. To have hassle free life, Vijay needs to clear all the controversies and go for better scripts to regain his earlier image. But do you think that he alone can solve his problems and bring back his earlier image back? or will he enter into politics? All these questions are creating a big confusion among the audiences and especially his fans.
Hoping that Ilayathalapathy will soon solve his problems!
