Venkat Prabhu’s directorial film ‘Goa’ produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth released on Jan 29 with much expectations dashed down the hopes of all the fans and film buffs. As venkat’s earlier movies Chennai 600028 and Saroja got huge collections at box-office, Soundarya diverted in all the resources to this project but the movie is not making well at the box-office resulting in empty theaters.
On the other hand, Dayanidhi Azhagiri’s ‘Thamiz Padam’ one more much expected movie released on the same day has witnessed splendid openings with huge collections during first weekend.
The movie is directed by debutant Amudhan starring RJ-turned Shiva in lead role. As the movie is having all the commercial elements of Tamil film audiences were totally enchanted and were fascinated with the offensive skit.
Reports say that even the movie will do a huge business till this weekend and producers can walk out with huge box-office collections.
