Ashok Selvan and Sanchita Shetty who were earlier seen in the film Soodhu Kavvum are pairing up as the leads in this film too. The director also informed that he has adapted a French style in making Pizza 2: The Villa.

Thirukumaran Entertainment and Studio Green Production are jointly producing the film. Santhosh Narayanan is the music composer, Leo John paul is the editor. Like the first part of the film, the sequel is also a thriller.

Lingusamy has confirmed the news that Thirupathy Brothers is producing the film with Kamal Haasan in the lead role. Besides playing the lead, Kamal himself is donning the direction cap for this big budget action adventure flick.

There is a buzz that Kamal has offered three scripts and Lingusamy chose one among them. Other details of the cast and crew of the film are to be announced by the makers while the film will roll its camera from October.

For now, Kamal Haasan is busy with his direction cum production film Vishwaroopam 2, the sequel to his blockbuster Viswaroopam being shot in Thailand.

"Bollywood 'Singham' actor Ajay Devgn, director Rohit Shetty and Kannada actor Sudeep will grace the audio launch of Suriya's 'Singam 2', which will take place on June 2," said a statement from the production house.

"Singam 2", directed by Hari Gopalakrishnan, also features Hansika Motwani, Anushka Shetty, Santhanam, Vivek, Vijay Kumar, Nassar, Radha Ravi and Anjali.

Ajay, Rohit and Sudeep have been invited as the guest of honours because of their association with the film in other languages.

While Devgn featured in the title role in the Hindi version of the film titled "Singham", which was helmed by Rohit Shetty; Sudeep starred in the Kannada version of the film.

"Singam 2", produced by Prince Pictures, will be an extension of its prequel "Singam". Suriya will return as a righteous cop in the film.

Hansika is playing the female lead in the film while Premgi Amaren, Sanathanam, Prasanna and Sam Anderson are doing supporting roles. K.E.Gnanavel Raja is producing this film under Studio Green productions.

Interestingly, Biriyani also records the 100th movie for Yuvan, who has composed for almost 900 tracks so far. Cinematography is by Shakthi Saravanan and editing is by Praveen K. L. and N. B. Srikanth.

Thulasi Nair tweeted, “ The third schedule of Yaan in Mumbai kicks off today. So excited to finally start shooting songs soon.”

Yaan is taking shape in the hands of Cinematographer turned director Ravi K Chandran, who is making his directional debut. Elred Kumar is the producer of the film. Harris Jayaraj is composing the musical scores for the film. Manush Nandan is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor of the film. The first look posters have raised the curiosity on the film.

"We are currently shooting the second schedule of the film in Kumbakonam. Karthi will celebrate his birthday on the sets with the entire crew... and we have planned for a small party for him in the evening," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

Back home, in Chennai, members of Karthi's fans' club plan to celebrate by indulging in some charity.

"We are planning for charitable events such as blood donation camp and distributing books to underprivileged school children," said a member of the club.

Paired opposite Kajal Agarwal, Karthi has pinned all hopes on the film. He hopes it will resurrect his dwindling career.

With two back-to-back dubs such as "Saguni" and "Alex Pandian", Karthi, brother of actor Suriya Sivakumar, hopes AIAAR will catapult him back to stardom.

Rajesh M is directing the film, which also features Santhanam, Prabhu and Saranya Ponvannan.

Karthi is also simultaneously shooting for Tamil romantic-comedy "Biriyani".

"The shooting of Tamil remake of 'Ala Modalaindi', which is being produced by Raviprasad Productions, has begun in full swing," said a statement from the production house.

Rakul Preet Singh is paired with Gautham in the film, being helmed by Ravi Thyagarajan. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised.

B.V. Nandini Reddy's "Ala Modalaindi", featuring Nani and Nithya Menon, reaped gold at the box-office. A low-budget Telugu romantic-comedy, it reportedly collected Rs.15 crore on an investment of Rs.4 crore.

Meanwhile, Gautham Karthik, despite making an unsuccessful debut with Mani Ratnam's "Kadal", has his hands full. Meanwhile the 23-year-old is busy juggling between two more Tamil films "Sippai" and "Vai Raja Vai".

"TVSK censored with clean 'U' with no cuts. The board said they loved this romantic entertainer," said a statement from the production house.

Directed by Sundar C, TVSK also features Hansika Motwani, Vidyullekha Raman, Santhanam and Ganesh Venkatraman in important roles. It is produced by UTV Motion Pictures.

This is the second collaboration between UTV and Sundar C after the highly successful Tamil comedy "Kalakalappu".

"The third schedule of 'Yaan' in Mumbai kicks off today. (I'm) so excited to finally start shooting songs soon! (I) Will keep you all updated," Thulasi posted on her Twitter page.

She also recently posted: "Finally, 21st is here! Today, my 10th board comes to an end. Phew".

Thulasi took a month-long break from the shooting to complete her exams. She is paired opposite Jiiva in the film, which is being helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Ravi K. Chandran.

The 15-year old made her debut in Mani Ratnam's Tamil romantic-drama "Kadal", which failed to give her the box-office limelight. However, even before the release of her debut film, Thulasi had begun working on "Yaan".

"He has been an inspiration for me, personally. Just the way I look at him deal with his career, how he works," Shruti said here.

"Even at this time, he does so much hard work and has so much dedication. He has the same enthusiasm that a newcomer has for his work and that has been very inspiring for me,” added the 27-year-old.

Shruti is also impressed with her father’s directorial skills and minces no words in praising him for that.

"He is a good director. He brings in an actor's point of view very clearly. When you see his film, you know an actor is thinking about how to direct the film," she said.

She doesn’t rule out acting in a film directed by her father someday.

Shruti will soon be seen in two more Hindi projects Ramaiya Vastavaiya and D-Day and Telugu films Yevadu, Balupu, Race Gurram and Ramayya Vastavayya.
